The Belt and Road Initiative have been proposed for four years and the cooperation mechanism between China and CEE countries, which is also called 16+1 Cooperation, have been established for five years. Located in the central of Europe, Poland has a obvious geographical advantage because it is an important transportation corridor which links Eastern and Western Europe, and is also a intersection of Amber Route and The Silk Road. As an important partner of China, Poland intends to step up the pace to make use of the geographical advantage to actively participate in the construction of the Belt and Road and to seize the opportunity.

Since the bilateral relationship between China and Poland was promoted to comprehensive strategic partnership in June, the bilateral relationship is really warming up. During the period of The Belt and Road International Cooperation Forum was held in Beijing in May this year, China and Poland reached a consensus in further deepening cooperation under the framework of The Belt and Road.    

A good political atmosphere created opportunities to bilateral economic and trade cooperation and other fields. From 2013 to 2016, the bilateral trade volume between China and Poland had increased from 14.8 billion dollars to 17.6 billion dollars with an average annual growth rate of 6%. China's stock of investment to Poland in non-financial stocks had increased from 160 million dollars to 370 million dollars, which involved machinery manufacturing, home appliances, clean energy, biomedicine, information communications and many other fields. Chinese enterprises have undertaken seven project contracting projects in Poland at present, with a total amount of 360 million dollars.

Krzysztof Singer, deputy director of Poland Investment and Trade Bureau, said that Poland focus on the development of The Belt and Road with a great interest. In this Initiative, Poland and CEE have wider prospects. The Belt and Road will further strengthen the relationship between China and countries in this region and has an important significance in promoting regional economic growth.

From politics to economy and trade, from education to tourism, the development of relations between China and Poland is comprehensive and solid. Under the safeguard and promotion of The Belt and Road Initiative and 16+1 Cooperation, the interoperability and pragmatic cooperation between China and Poland is being constantly promoted and the road of policy communication, facility connection, trade，financing will go wider and wider.
