On the afternoon of May.31, 2017, Premier Li Keqiang met Angela Merkel in the chancellery of Berlin.
Premier Li Keqiang said that the relationship between China and Germany was developed rapidly. In the background of uncertainties remaining, de-globalization and protectionism, China and Germany should continue to follow the rules of mutual respect, mutual trust, deep cooperation, close communication, the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment and WTO rules, to deal with the external uncertainties and inject positive signals of stability, cooperation and development for the regions and world.
Premier Li Keqiang said that China and Germany have a strong economic complementarity, a lot of interests and a great cooperation potentials. China is willing to docking the strategy of “Made in China 2025”,“Industrial 4.0” and other development strategies.
Premier Li Keqiang stressed that China and EU has formed a comprehensive strategic partnership. China always supports European integration process, which is benefit to promote world multipolarization and economic globalization.
Merkel said that Germany is a reliable partner for China. The relationship and cooperation between two sides is strong. In the current international situation, it’s very important for China and Germany to maintain high-level dialogue. Based on the spirit of mutual benefits, China and Germany are willing to further strengthen exchange and cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, finance, new energy vehicles, medical care, humanity and achieve the strategy docking of“Made in China 2025”and“Industrial 4.0”and expand cooperation within G20. Germany side highly appreciates China’s position on European integration and hopes the 19th EU-China leaders meeting will produce positive results.
